o_song and bizza fame, and I'm going to post some lyrics here, when I write them and so forth. Entries will be friends only, except for this one. Comment to be added.
Journal is called portaloosunset after a song of mine called "Portaloo Sunset". I'd had the idea of the melody of this song for a couple of years, but I always had trouble trying to find words which fit into the melody. I don't think I quite got this song right, though...they don't fit as well as I'd like. Seem a bit awkward. There's probably better names out there to say the things I want to say with. None of them are really based on people of that name.
But I do like the title, at least, which came to me about 6 months ago, when I was in a particularly punny mood. I kind of like the idea of this song having a ridiculous title and the same "let's mention every name under the sun" approach as "Mambo #5" (the song is broadly Latin in it's rhythms and melodies...a departure for me), when the contents of the song are very much less humorous. Lisa, she's an appeaser, but they'll still tease her, cos they don't care
